1569 metres of climbing from the fjord in under five kilometres, most of it in one unbroken push. From Konedalen a flank leads onto a narrow summit ridge — 25 to 33 degrees low down, 40 to 50 over the last 200 metres with cornices towards Konedalen and a roughly 80-degree wall down to the Hjørundfjord on the other side.

From the road end at Lisjeholen south of the Norang farms, 61 m, take the steep path up to Konedalen with the skis on your pack — first on the left bank of the river, then across to the right. The forest ends around 296 m and the ground is open from about 400. This is the part of the tour that is not a ski tour, and it climbs at 20 to 22 degrees on average.
