1051 metres of ascent over 8.05 km from the Y-junction before the barrier — nearly half the tour is the winter-closed road into Kongsvikdalen, where the band below 100 m measures 1.4 degrees over 3625 metres of ground. Then the mountain takes over: the summer trail at Sætran, the south contour across the plateau, and a summit that collects 1051 metres for its 980 because the plateau rolls — you give back 96 along the way. KAST 2 by Fri Flyt, with ice axe and crampons on the gear list for the wind-packed snow and icing near the top.
1051 metres of ascent and 8.05 km from the Y-junction at Kongsvik: the winter-closed road to Sætran, the summer trail and the south contour across the plateau — the treeline at 317 m, the steepest stretch, 31.6 degrees, between 291 and 310 m.
From the Y-junction — 25 m, about 150 metres before the barrier — follow the winter-closed road into Kongsvikdalen, often with scooter tracks to walk in. The line crosses the braided Kongsvikelva where the road does, on the bridges. At Sætran at 57 m you turn off eastward on the summer trail, and the climbing begins: 186 m where the line stands in it.
