Skårasalen
1452 metres of climbing in one push from the toll barrier in Bondalen, and the main slope in the middle of the tour runs right alongside a gully that empties towards the summer-farm road every winter. The summit plateau is easy once you are on it — it is the way there, and the cornices over the east wall, that make this demanding.

From the barrier on Kvistadvegen above the Kvistad farms, 104 m, follow the winter-closed farm road some 3.7 kilometres south and inland up Kvistaddalen to the car park in front of Kvistadsætra and Årsetsætra, 509 m. Those 405 metres up the road are gentle — the bands from 100 to 500 m average 5 to 7 degrees — and if the barrier has opened in late April or early May you can drive them and cut both the kilometres and the height.
