Stortinden i Sortland
1008 metres of ascent over 3.35 km from the Vangpollen power station to Stortinden — one of Hinnøya's thousand-metre peaks, and one of the few that gives you continuous steep skiing all the way back down to the sea. KAST 3 – Complex in Fri Flyt, ice axe and crampons on the list. Grade 4.

From the car park at the power station — 13 m — and straight into the valley. The source's description is short: «follow the steep valley, which gets steeper and steeper.» The band from 0 to 100 m measures a mean 13.0 degrees over 408 metres of ground, and 100 to 200 m measures 20.4 over 266. The valley mouth is 92 m, the valley itself 274.
