664 metres of ascent and 2.85 km straight from the lay-by in Kaperdalen — 'Tredje Svanfjell is a classic in Kaperdalen. A fine tour for newly converted ski tourers, and a splendid polar-night tour too', writes Fri Flyt, and the numbers agree: steepest 100-metre band 23.4 degrees between 500 and 600 metres, steepest sustained stretch 29.9, and the line gives back zero vertical metres. The name is not in the register — the Svanfjell peaks are numbered informally — but Fri Flyt publishes its own GPS position for the summit, and it reads 898 in the terrain model to the metre.
