The line follows the mapped path the whole way: the footbridge over the Kjølo, the steep wooded hillside to Håsete, the ski hut at 1110 m and the notch between Glynt and the summit. The steepest hundred-metre band measures 17.4 degrees between 800 and 900 m and the steepest sustained stretch 28.2 degrees between 1158 and 1182 m — but what shapes the tour is the cliffs in the forest and the steep summit block, not the averages.

From the car park at the cluster of summer farms in Fitjadalen, 272 m, about eight kilometres from Øystese. The climb starts at the footbridge over the river Kjølo and mostly follows the summer path — first through spruce forest in awkward terrain, then across a flat, and up a hillside where Fri Flyt's own warning applies: «ugly cliffs in the forest». The bands measure 14.9 degrees from 300 to 400 m and 17.0 from 500 to 600, and the path is there for a reason — it goes around the cliffs.
